Tell us your favourite or unique football story

Years of football have created generations of stories. Some are passed down from father to son or daughter, others grow in the telling to become the stuff of legend and myth. Many stories are related to specific players who did something truly special with a ball. Others often relate to superstitions, for example: the toad buried on the pitch as a curse; or the particular garment that has to be worn to every match.

Some stories we all know, whilst others remain the treasures of particular friends or families. We would like you to write down your own personal story, the story about the game that you carry with you.
